It shapes how bodies are seen, judged, and controlled. Society blames weight as a personal failure, but Ozempic promises change and offers hope. At the same time, it raises the question of whether it suppresses the problem or represents a miracle cure whose benefits outweigh the drawbacks. On the red carpet though, the ‘drug’ is used to slim down for a role. Hollywood still worships thinness. But isn’t time to stop putting so much weight on that demand.
