Andrée Putman (23 December 1925 – 19 January 2013)

Maayke Schuitema created an artwork with mixed techniques about Andrée Putman, based on a photo of Annie Leibovitz. Andrée Putman is the iconic French designer and tastemaker had a discerning eye that effortlessly bridged fashion and interior design. Her work with Azzedine Alaia, Karl Lagerfeld and Louis Vuitton followed the project that launched her interior design career in 1984 – designing the interiors for the Morgans Hotel in New York, where Putman’s graphic style set the scene for what would become the decade’s defining aesthetic. She is known for her Minimalist, avant-garde furnishings and interior designs.
